F-GAS
F-Gas Support has asked City & Guilds to clarify the status of the Handling Refrigerants (2078) as an interim qualification under the new F-Gas legislation. The following statement has been posted by City & Guilds:
"F-Gas Support have stressed that the 2078 qualification will not be valid as an interim qualification if achieved after 9 March 2009 (for existing engineers) or after 4 March 2009 for new entrants to the industry. Achieved 2078's before these dateswould be counted as an interim certificate under the legislation".
Tullos Training understands that all existing engineers and new entrants will require to achieve 2079 by July 2011.
