Annual Awards Ceremony – 2019

On 26 June 2019, Tullos Training hosted its 50th Annual Awards Ceremony at The Marcliffe Hotel in Aberdeen.  This year Tullos Training had 89 Modern Apprenticeship completions and 10 HNC certificates issued.  This year’s ceremony also marked the completion of 1 Management and 4 Business Adminitration apprenticeships.  These are the first of many as we started offering these qualifications alongside Logistics Operations in April 2018.

For our 50th Annual Awards Ceremony, we asked Kirsten Gove, former STV Presenter, to host the event.  Kirsten gave an engaging introduction to the event before handing over to Tullos Training CEO, Iain Garrett who shared the history of the event and his experience at Tullos Training through the years, first as an apprentice to now being CEO.  Kirsten then introduced Ryan Fernando of Aker Solutions, who shared his experience as Apprentice Electrical Technician at Tullos Training and how he feels his apprenticeship shaped his career.  The former Apprentice of the Year has been a great asset to Aker Solutions and has continued to win industry awards following his apprenticeship.  Neil Thomson, Construction & Technical Director at Stewart Milne Homes followed Ryan to share the value of apprentices and apprenticeship programmes to the company and future workforce.

Presentation of certificates and awares was carried out by Neil.  Awards presented during the evening were as follows:
