Bucksburn Academy Pupils Explore Careers in the Energy Sector

On Wednesday 17th September 2025, Tullos Training welcomed 15 S3 pupils from Bucksburn Academy to the training centre as part of their Pathways class, where they are learning about the Energy Sector.

The visit gave pupils and their teachers a valuable opportunity to experience a working training environment and to gain insight into the career pathways available within the industry.

During their time at the centre, the group received an informative presentation on the range of Modern Apprenticeship opportunities available through Tullos Training.  The session also highlighted how the energy sector is evolving, with many companies increasingly focusing on renewable energy technologies and sustainable practices, opening new opportunities for future careers.

Following the presentation, the pupils were given a guided tour of Tullos Training’s facilities, where they were able to see first-hand the skills apprentices develop throughout their programmes.  Pupils had the chance to interact with apprentices currently in training, learning more about the day-to-day experience of building a career through a Modern Apprenticeship.

Tullos Training were delighted to support Bucksburn Academy in helping their pupils explore career pathways and develop an understanding of the exciting opportunities within the Energy Sector.
